Do you wash your idols with dawn after using bar keepers friend, I love bar keepers but I feel bad about putting something toxic on my idols. Vinegar and baking soda work great to, and you can soak them over night in vinegar and it cleans them really nicely.

Is this bar keeper's friend available in south Africa I tried using sugar and brown brasso liquid and it gave a bright glow on the idol and the diya was only giving a small glow on it but within so many days it went dull and lost the colour of the brass diya and the whole diya went black and till now Im trying other products and nothing seems to work out after listening to your video and I will try to see if it works or not .thanks for the video and may goddess durga bless you for all the things you do for your house pooja room its so beautiful

You should not use chemicals to clean deities, especially the ones already placed in your home temple. I use the second method. It's natural and used in many temples.

Whom we worship daily are not mere brass idols. Our feelings are attached to the God. Please sister do not rub the Gods face harshly with a toothbrush. You are puting all your force and mechanically doing the cleaning. Look at it with a feeling. You can clean them with curd and lemon instead.

Why does the video cut away every time you try to stand them up? It makes it seem like they weren't standing correctly after you folded them so you had to fix it and then shoot the standing shot. Makes me skeptical, but I'll try this anyway.
